Greetings! These textures are all from www.eosdev.com. They encourage their use for not-for-profit purposes. There's a lot of them, and they have the great attribute of being small!
We wrote a script to download them all, and used Photoshop to build up these index pages for them. The page size is optimized for my operator's particular Apple Cinema Display. So it goes.
Each page shows the texture tiled alone, and tiled nine times.
These textures are mostly of the "wallpaper" variety, good for adding a little punch to otherwise bland surfaces.
Big textures is one of the things that can make your Second Life build laggy. A typical graphics card can manage around a hundred 512x512 textures comfortably. It can handle four times that many 256x256 textures! (These numbers apply to the objects that are visible within your draw-distance.) Please use textures as small as possible!
